The United States District Court for the District of North Dakota has scheduled two naturalization ceremonies in Fargo on December 17, 2024. These events will take place at the Sanctuary Events Center, located at 670 4th Avenue North, with sessions at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Alice R. Senechal will oversee the morning ceremony, where Dr. Rupak Gandhi, Superintendent of Fargo Public Schools, is set to deliver a speech. In the afternoon, Chief District Court Judge Peter D. Welte will preside over the proceedings, with North Dakota State Senator Kathy Hogan addressing attendees.
Both ceremonies will feature a reading by a student finalist from the U.S. Courts’ Fifth Annual Bill of Rights Day Student Contest.
Approximately 200 individuals from 38 different countries are expected to be granted citizenship during these events. The public is invited to attend.
