A BakerHostetler team led by Partner Jordan Bethea, as well as Associates Patrick Luthen, Brittany Schwabe and Colson Ginger, advised Canada-based Exchange Income Corporation (EIC) in the acquisition of Spartan Mat, LLC and its subsidiary Spartan Composites, LLC for the purchase price of USD $120 million. The acquisition was announced Nov. 7, 2024, and closed Nov. 13, 2024.
EIC, a diversified, acquisition-oriented company, is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and focused on opportunities in the aerospace and aviation and manufacturing segments. Spartan manufactures industrial composite access mats, including the SYSTEM7™ and SYSTEM7-XT™ mats, as well as brokers the rent and sale of wood and composite mats across the U.S.
