North Dakota courts recently conducted adoption hearings for 32 children from 19 families on National Adoption Day, which took place on November 23, 2024. The adoptions were organized through the Adults Adopting Special Kids (AASK) program and Catholic Charities of North Dakota.

Judge James Hill and Judge Bobbi Weiler presided over the hearings at the Morton County courthouse, where they granted adoptions for eight families. In Cass County, Judge Constance Cleveland finalized adoptions for five families. Additionally, Judges Donald Hager and Kristi Venhuizen completed adoption proceedings for six families in Grand Forks.

After the legal proceedings concluded, AASK held short programs to mark the occasion.
