The Supreme Court and courthouses throughout the state will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, in observance of Thanksgiving. Most county courthouses will also remain closed on Friday, though the Supreme Court and some other courthouses will operate that day.

Courthouse facilities in Grand Forks, Ramsey, Rolette, and Stark counties will not open their doors; however, staff members will be available to assist individuals via telephone. The Walsh County Courthouse is an exception and will stay open to the public.

Several county courthouses are scheduled to close on Friday, November 29th. These include Billings and LaMoure counties. Some courthouses will offer services through neighboring counties despite being closed. Emergency contact numbers have been provided for those requiring court services on November 29th:

- Benson County's emergency services will be managed by Ramsey County at 701-662-1309.

- Bottineau County can also reach out to Ramsey County using the same number.

- Burke County's needs are covered by Williams County at 701-774-7936.

- Cavalier residents should contact Walsh County at 701-352-0350.

- Dickey's emergency services are handled by Barnes County clerk office at 701-845-8880 option 1.

This arrangement continues with Divide under Williams County’s jurisdiction (701-774-7936), Eddy through Stutsman County Clerk (701-253-6243), and others as specified.

Rolette’s courthouse building remains closed; however, clerks are accessible via phone at 701-477-3816. Similarly structured arrangements exist for several other counties including McHenry, McIntosh, McKenzie, Mountrail, Nelson, Pembina, Pierce, Renville among others listed with respective contact information.
