The United States Courts in the Seventh and Eighth Circuits conducted the Fifth Annual Bill of Rights Day Contest in October. The event targeted school-age children from grades 5 to 12 across Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Participants were encouraged to submit essays, poems, videos, photographs, songs, or art pieces celebrating Bill of Rights Day.
Out of nearly 300 submissions received for the contest this year, 39 entries were selected as finalists. Among these were two students from North Dakota: Aubrie Myrmoe for Grades 5-6 Essay and Shay Were for Grades 7-8 Art.
