Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has urged the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board to deny clemency for Kevin Ray Underwood, a convicted child murderer. Underwood is scheduled for execution on December 19th for the 2006 murder of Jamie Rose Bolin, a 10-year-old girl from Purcell.

Underwood meticulously planned the crime over several months, intending to abduct, rape, and kill Bolin before indulging in cannibalistic fantasies. Drummond described Underwood as "a deeply evil monster who committed an unthinkable murder that took a 10-year-old child away from her parents and loved ones." He added, "The death penalty is the only appropriate punishment in this case and I urge the Pardon and Parole Board to reject clemency and ensure justice for Jamie."

The board will hold a clemency hearing on December 4th.
