The Maryland Judiciary has announced a public hearing scheduled for Monday, November 28, from 1-4 p.m., focusing on the processes of judicial selection and retention within the state. A dedicated workgroup is tasked with examining these processes and making recommendations on whether to maintain the current system or consider adjustments.
The public is invited to attend the hearing in person at the Maryland Judicial Center in Annapolis or view it via a livestream. Those interested in providing testimony, either in person or remotely, are encouraged to register by emailing [email protected]. Written testimonies can also be submitted to [email protected].
The event will involve members of the Maryland Judiciary, the Legislative Committee of the Maryland Judicial Council, and other workgroup members.
