The Circuit Court for Baltimore City Adult Drug Treatment Court is set to celebrate the graduation of over 40 participants who have successfully completed the program. The event will take place on Monday, October 18, at the War Memorial Building in Baltimore.
Since its inception in March 1994, the program has provided nonviolent offenders with substance use disorders an opportunity to receive comprehensive treatment and break free from the cycle of recidivism. The ceremony will feature Baltimore Ravens Cornerback Marlon Humphrey as the keynote speaker. Judges, court staff, family members, friends, and prosecutors will also be present to honor the graduates' achievements.
Due to COVID-19 health guidelines, including mask-wearing and social distancing, the event has been moved from the circuit courthouse to a larger venue. It will also be available for viewing via a Zoom livestream.
Baltimore City Circuit Court Administrative Judge Audrey J. S. Carrión and Judge Karen Friedman will preside over the ceremony alongside Marlon Humphrey and other dignitaries.
