New construction is set to commence on December 15, 2017, at the Robert C. Murphy Courts of Appeal Building in Annapolis, Maryland. During this phase, access to the Court of Appeals, the Court of Special Appeals, and the State Law Library will be redirected to the side entrance. All visitors must use a covered walkway within the construction zone that accommodates wheelchairs.
This marks the second phase of a project at 361 Rowe Blvd., featuring a new accessibility ramp and entrance pavilion, along with upgrades to the main lobby and enhanced security measures. The first phase included an upper parking deck addition earlier this year.
The project is overseen by the State Department of General Services and is anticipated to conclude by March 2018. A map detailing affected areas is available on the Judiciary website.
