Maryland seeks public input on uniform bar examination proposal

The Maryland Court of Appeals has announced the release of a report by its Advisory Committee on the potential adoption of the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) in Maryland. The court is now seeking public comments on the matter.

Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera expressed appreciation for the committee's efforts, stating, "This is an issue of importance to the Maryland bar. On behalf of the Court, I extend our appreciation and gratitude to the Advisory Committee for the rigor of the research and review undertaken and the excellent report produced."

The report can be accessed on the Maryland Judiciary website. The Court of Appeals will accept written comments until November 8, 2017. Comments can be mailed to Bessie Decker, Clerk of Court at the Maryland Court of Appeals, or emailed to [email protected].
