Bradley is pleased to announce that Emma Duke McBurney and George A. Smith II, attorneys in the firm’s Huntsville office, have been recognized by the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program (MCVLP) for their pro bono contributions to the organization.
Ms. McBurney, an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, was recognized by the MCVLP as the 2024 New Volunteer of the Year.
Mr. Smith, a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group, was recognized by the MCVLP as a “Top Volunteer” for 2024.Founded in 1982, the MCVLP is committed to providing equal access to justice through the delivery of pro bono legal services to low-income citizens in Madison County and to promote volunteerism among attorneys in the county.
The MCVLP is supported by the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association.Bradley’s Pro Bono program helps address the unmet legal needs of indigent individuals and charitable organizations. Attorneys from across the firm’s offices devote a significant amount of time each year to pro bono work, representing individuals in matters ranging from death penalty and human rights cases to intellectual property work for low-income inventors, artists and entertainers.
