Peter Morrison, an associate in McGuireWoods’ Commercial Litigation Department in New York, has accepted a one-year clerkship with a U.S. magistrate judge in the Eastern District of New York. His last day at McGuireWoods is Nov. 1.
Morrison was a summer associate with the firm in 2021 and joined full time in 2022 after graduating from Fordham Law School. For the past two years, he focused his practice on litigation and arbitration disputes for corporate clients and banking institutions.
During law school, Morrison served as an associate editor of the Fordham Law Dispute Resolution Society and successfully competed in the 18th Annual Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
“My time at McGuireWoods has been remarkable and I am grateful. In a few years, I made lifelong friends, formed strong professional connections, benefited from true mentorship, and worked alongside brilliant lawyers whose legal abilities are topped only by their compassion and concern for the wellbeing of their teams,” Morrison said. “I am excited to clerk and for the next chapter in my story with the firm.”
“Peter has been an asset to our team and to our clients and we wish him well on his clerkship,” said partner Michael Herring, chair of the Commercial Litigation Department.
