Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that Andrew Scott Walker has been sentenced to 25 years in prison following his guilty plea to charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, 1st Degree, and Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, 3rd Degree. The sentencing took place on October 31, 2024, in Greenville County before Judge Perry Gravely.

The case began in January 2021 when the Simpsonville Police Department responded to a report from a concerned citizen who discovered nude images of children on Walker's phone. A search of the device revealed further evidence of Walker sexually assaulting one of the children, along with audio identifying him. The children involved were identified during the investigation.

Judge Gravely imposed a sentence comprising 10 years for the charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and an additional consecutive term of 15 years for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor. Walker is required to register as a sex offender upon release. Additionally, he consented to a forfeiture order and was subjected to a permanent restraining order concerning the victims.

Assistant Attorney General Kristen Johnson prosecuted the case. Attorney General Wilson expressed gratitude towards Investigator Jim Donnely, the Simpsonville Police Department, and the Greenville County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in the investigation.
