Fox Rothschild congratulates Wanda French-Brown on her selection to Crain’s New York’s 2024 class of Notable Black Leaders.

The annual feature celebrates “Black New Yorkers’ success and advancement, spanning industries from law and finance to nonprofits and the arts.”

A partner in the Intellectual Property Department, French-Brown represents clients in high stakes intellectual property matters, often in federal district and appellate courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission and Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

A former registered pharmacist working in the pharmaceutical industry, French-Brown has a deep understanding of the Hatch-Waxman and Biologics Price Competition and Innovation acts, their accompanying regulations and their crucial application to pharmaceutical products entering the market.

Crain’s New York highlighted her biggest career achievement to date: She is lead plaintiff’s counsel in an ongoing patent infringement action filed by San Rocco Therapeutics against Bluebird Bio and Third Rock Ventures. The complaint, filed in 2021 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges more than $2 billion in damages.

An advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, French-Brown is a member of the Board of Directors of Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest national legal organization dedicated to securing civil rights for the LGBTQ+ community. She is also a member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, which promotes justice in and through the legal profession.
