The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana has announced new leadership and appointments. Orleans Criminal District Court Judge Robin D. Pittman has been elected as the Commission Chair, while Suzanne H. Stinson will serve as Vice-Chair. The Commission also welcomes three new members: Lloyd J. Clark from Jefferson Parish, attorney Thomas C. Wicker IV from Orleans Parish, and attorney David Ardoin from Lafourche Parish. Additionally, Kelly Blackwell has been appointed as Judiciary Commission Counsel.

Judge Pittman was chosen by her peers to lead the Commission for a one-year term. Her extensive legal background includes serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish and working with Baldwin Haspel Burke & Mayer law firm before her election to the bench in 2009.

Suzanne Stinson brings years of experience to her role as Vice Chair, having worked at the 26th Judicial Court District since 1982 until her retirement in 2014. She is a past president of the National Association for Court Management and has served on various boards related to court management.

Lloyd Clark is returning for his second term on the Commission after retiring from a long career with Jefferson Parish Public Schools in 2008. He remains active in professional and community organizations.

Thomas C. Wicker IV joins the Commission following his work with Jones Walker LLP’s Compliance and White Collar Defense team and now practices at Capitelli & Wicker specializing in plaintiff medical malpractice.

David Ardoin brings significant litigation experience to his four-year term on the Commission, focusing on personal injury trial cases among other areas.

Kelly Blackwell steps into her new role as Judiciary Commission Counsel after serving eight years as an Assistant Special Counsel within the Office of Special Counsel to the Judiciary Commission.

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana plays a critical role in overseeing judicial conduct within the state, reviewing allegations of misconduct, and recommending disciplinary actions when necessary.
