Trial Court Vacancy Commission reviews candidates for judicial vacancy

The Trial Court Vacancy Commission is set to review five candidates for a circuit court judge position in the 4th Judicial District. This district covers Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson, and Sevier counties. The meeting will take place on November 12, 2024, in Sevierville.

The candidates under consideration are Jeremy D. Ball, Lu Ann H. Ballew, Susan Joanne Sheldon, Luke A. Shipley, and S. Lane Wolfenbarger.

A public hearing is scheduled at the Sevier County Courthouse's third-floor courtroom at 125 Court Ave., Sevierville, TN 37862. The hearing will start at 9:00 a.m. EDT.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and can present objections regarding any candidate either verbally or in writing.
