Cyber Crime Unit arrests Pineville man for juvenile pornography charges

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit has apprehended a Pineville resident on charges related to child pornography. Michael Paul Renbarger, 40, residing on Susek Drive in Pineville, was arrested on October 17, 2024.

Renbarger faces seven counts of "LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Felony)." The arrest followed a tip received by the Louisiana Department of Justice agents from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The investigation involved collaboration between several agencies, including "General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit, the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit, and Homeland Security Investigations."

Following his arrest, Renbarger was taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center. Information regarding his bond is currently unavailable.

Authorities have indicated that the investigation is still ongoing.
