Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced therecent sentencing of Jimmie Ray Fields of Lucedale, Mississippi.
This case wasinvestigated by the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office with assistance fromthe Lucedale Police Department and was prosecuted by the MississippiAttorney General’s Office and the George County District Attorney’s Office.

Your tip could save a life."On October 2, George County Circuit Court Judge Calvin Taylor sentencedFields to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections(MDOC), with 40 years to serve for each of the 25 counts of child exploitationrelating to his possession of child sexual abuse material. All counts wereordered to run concurrently. Fields will be required to serve his sentence day-for-day without the possibility of parole. He will also have to register as a sexoffender upon release.
