For the tenth year, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and employees from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) are set to participate in "Go Purple Day" as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On October 17, OAG employees will wear purple to express solidarity with survivors and raise awareness about domestic violence.
Attorney General Ken Paxton emphasized the importance of combating domestic violence and supporting families across Texas. He stated, "My office works tirelessly to combat domestic violence and support Texas families. Abuse has a terrible and lasting impact on families and our communities. Across the agency, we provide resources and raise awareness to help survivors find safety and support."
The OAG’s Child Support Division (OAG-CSD) has relaunched its website, https://getchildsupportsafely.org, which offers resources for those navigating child support processes with a focus on safety for family violence survivors. This initiative is a collaboration between the Texas Council on Family Violence and OAG-CSD, aiming to enhance site functionality and resource availability since its initial launch in 2012.
