Attorney General Mike Hilgers has announced the establishment of a new satellite office for the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office in Ogallala, Nebraska. This move aims to strengthen the presence of law enforcement support in Greater Nebraska, where two outstate investigators are currently stationed.
“This is an exciting day for our office. Opening this office will enhance our ability to recruit and retain talented lawyers to western Nebraska, and it will expand our ability to assist our law enforcement partners in this portion of the state,” said Attorney General Hilgers during the opening event in Ogallala.
The new facility, which includes office and conference space, is located within the Nebraska Association of County Officials' (NACO) recently inaugurated building. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Thursday, October 10th.
"NACO is proud to have the Attorney General share our commitment to serving all areas of the state, partnering with us by using space in NACO's new facility in Ogallala," stated Jon Cannon, Executive Director of NACO.
This satellite location is expected to bolster the Attorney General’s Office's capacity to support criminal cases and assist county attorneys when needed.
