Jones Day welcomes Julie Shin in New York to Firm's Intellectual Property Practice

Julie Shin has joined Jones Day as of counsel in the Intellectual Property Practice. She will be based in the Firm's New York Office.

With substantial experience advising Korean and multinational companies, Ms. Shin focuses on cross-border IP litigation, IP transactions, and regulatory compliance. She has both in-house and outside counsel experience on a broad range of legal and business concerns involving patents, trademarks, and trade secrets analysis and dispute resolution; IP licensing; joint ventures, M&A, and other transactions; and IP portfolio management and development. Ms. Shin has extensive experience advising companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, chemical, and consumer products industries.

Ms. Shin started her legal career at a prominent U.S. law firm and served as a senior legal counsel at a major Korean electronics company, before joining a Seoul-based top-tier general practice law firm. Fluent in English and Korean, Ms. Shin earned her law degree from the University of Virginia Law School and her undergraduate degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University.
