UB Greensfelder LLP is pleased to announce James A. Goldsmith’s selection as a corporate honoree for the 25th Anniversary of Facing History & Ourselves Cleveland Benefit held on September 26. For many years, Goldsmith and the firm have been supporters of and contributors to Facing History & Ourselves, which uses lessons of history to challenge teachers and students to stand up to bigotry and hate. He is a past board member of its Cleveland Advisory Board.

Goldsmith has more than 40 years of experience in all aspects of trust and estate planning, administration, and succession planning. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel.
Goldsmith has earned numerous accolades and has been recognized for his impact throughout Northeast Ohio. He’s extensively involved with several community and charitable organizations, including serving as Co-Director of the Joyce M. Stielau and Herbert W. Stielau Foundation, and as a board member of the Hockey Humanitarian Award Foundation. Goldsmith was past president of the Shaker Youth Hockey Association as well as a coach within the group. He is also a member and former Chair of the University Hospitals Diamond Advisory Group, which connects business professionals with hospital benefactors.
Throughout his career, Goldsmith has been named to The Best Lawyers in America® for Trusts and Estates Law every year since 2001 and consistently selected to the Ohio Super Lawyers list. He also received the Distinguished Advisor Award from University Hospitals and the Distinguished Estate Planner Award from the Estate Planning Counsel of Cleveland.
