Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Littleton Police Chief Paul J. Smith announce further information on an overnight shooting in Littleton, New Hampshire that resulted in one adult male being killed.
At approximately 11:10 PM last night, September 16, 2024, 911 received a phone call asking for assistance. The caller indicated he was being chased in his car; his car had been repeatedly struck, and he was driving through the streets trying to get away from the attacking car. Police were dispatched to find the ongoing pursuit. A few minutes into the call, gunshots could be heard. Police officers found the cars stopped after an apparent collision in the vicinity of 33 Pleasant Street, Littleton. Once there, they found the caller, an adult male, waiting for police, and a second adult male suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The caller identified the injured person as the one who had been chasing and striking his car. The injured male was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Investigators have learned that both men knew each other, and that there is no known threat to the members of the public. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning for the deceased male at 9:30 AM in Concord by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance. No further information is anticipated to be released until after the autopsy is complete, and the deceased’s family have been notified of his death.
