Holland & Knight Continues Growth of Financial Services Team with Addition of Paul Libretta in New York

Holland & Knight has strengthened its Financial Services Team with the addition of Paul Libretta as a partner in New York. Mr. Libretta represents issuers, investors, borrowers, lenders, sellers, buyers, hedge funds, private credit funds and other financial institutions in connection with structured finance, securitizations and asset-backed lending transactions. He was previously of counsel at Winston & Strawn.

He is a highly respected attorney in his field whose extensive experience representing a wide range of clients in structured finance, securitizations and asset-backed lending will be an invaluable addition to our firm," said Matthew Fontane, co-chair of the firm's Financial Services Team. "Paul's insights into FinTech and his knowledge in banking, securities and consumer finance regulatory matters will further strengthen our team's capabilities."

Mr. Libretta has experience with various asset classes, including credit accounts, marketplace loans, auto loans, mortgages, mortgage servicing rights (MSRs), student loans and life settlements. He has also advised on banking, securities and consumer finance regulatory and compliance matters. Additionally, Mr. Libretta has advised on financial technology (FinTech) matters, including hardware and software technology licensing and maintenance agreements as well as general corporate counseling.

Mr. Libretta earned a J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School and a B.S. degree from the United States Military Academy, West Point.
