The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) will convene its 2024 Presidential Initiative Summit in Portland, Oregon. The summit, titled “America’s Youth: AGs Looking Out for the Next Generation,” is scheduled to take place on September 5-6, 2024, at The Nines Hotel.
Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, who currently serves as NAAG President, will host the event. It aims to bring together attorneys general and their staff, national policy leaders, educators, youth health practitioners, representatives of youth organizations, and members of the legal and business communities. Topics to be addressed include tech safety, social media impacts, substance use issues, financial literacy education, artificial intelligence implications for youth, gaming habits among young people, and child exploitation concerns.
In a statement regarding the summit's objectives and significance, AG Rosenblum said: “As Oregon’s Attorney General and as the President of the National Association of Attorneys General this year, I am delighted to host my AG colleagues from as far away as the US territories and Maine for our national Summit. We are tapping into both local and national experts on my Initiative theme: America’s Youth: AGs Looking Out for the Next Generation. Our youth face many challenges as they prepare for adulthood. State attorneys general are an important part of the ‘village’ that must help provide the protections and tools our kids need to succeed. That’s what these next two days are about!”
Key speakers at the summit include:
- Ellen Rosenblum
- Brian Kane
- Zoya Shah
- Bonnie Nagel
- Dr. Sejal Hathi

Panel discussions throughout the event will be moderated by various attorneys general and their staff.
