Attorney General John M. Formella announces that the New Hampshire Department of Justice has completed its investigation in the officer-involved shooting that took place on January 21, 2024, at 49 Marie Avenue in Nashua, New Hampshire. During this incident, Heath Thompson (age 39) was shot and killed when he began firing one of his handguns at police officers.
The final investigation report (attached) concludes that, based on all the facts and circumstances, Nashua Police Officers Cameron Hult, Wade Hansen, and Connor Reynolds were legally justified in their individual uses of deadly force against Heath Thompson as he fired upon them. No charges will be filed against the officers.
