Attorney General John M. Formella announces that the New Hampshire Department of Justice has completed its investigation in the officer-involved shooting that took place on November 17, 2023 at the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire.

 John Madore (age 33) was shot and killed after Madore murdered Security Officer and former Franklin Police Chief Bradley Haas (age 63). The final investigation report (attached) concludes that, based on all the facts and circumstances, New Hampshire State Trooper Nathan Sleight was legally justified in his use of deadly force against John Madore. No charges will be filed against the trooper.
