The Case Administrator I will handle various administrative tasks related to legal documents and records. Responsibilities include receiving and examining documents filed in legal actions, issuing civil and criminal processes such as summonses and subpoenas, performing quality control on electronic dockets using the Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) System, and providing information to the public and legal professionals. The role also involves processing appeals and traveling to other court offices within the district as required.
Applicants must have at least a two-year college degree; however, a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Experience in a court or legal field may substitute for educational requirements. Candidates should possess strong data entry skills, effective communication abilities with various stakeholders including judges and the public, teamwork capabilities, proficiency in word processing and email applications, and must be able to learn the CM/ECF electronic filing system.
