In a deal valued at approximately $2.3 billion, Partners Ronald Stepanovic and Melissa Leonard co-led a deal team that included Partners John Harrington, Michelle Hervey and Phillip Callesen and Associates Charlotte Pasiadis and Claudia Cash as they advised CBIZ, Inc in the acquisition of top-ranked national accounting and advisory firm Marcum LLP. The deal will make CBIZ the seventh-largest accounting services provider in the U.S., with approximately $2.8 billion in anticipated annual revenue.
Marcum is headquartered in New York City and has 43 offices in major markets throughout the U.S. serving more than 35,000 clients. As one of the largest accounting and insurance brokerage providers in the U.S., Cleveland-based CBIZ currently has more than 120 offices in 33 states.
