The Juvenile Court in Jamestown, ND, has announced an opening for a part-time, temporary Youth Coordinator position. The role offers a wage of $17 per hour and involves approximately 20 hours per week, including flexible evening and weekend hours along with some weekday hours as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, follow set rules, and communicate effectively with youth and their families. A high school diploma is required for this position, with work experience with youth preferred.

The Youth Coordinator will be responsible for providing services to youth and their families during their involvement with the Juvenile Court. Duties include assisting with transportation for court-related activities, seeking employment opportunities for youth, exposing them to positive social activities, aiding in college applications or other employment training programs, mentoring healthy relationships, connecting youth with culturally relevant services, and bridging communication between the court and the youth.

Additional responsibilities include documenting activities in the case management system, reporting neglect or abuse as mandated by law, attending staff meetings and court sessions when required, conducting drug testing and curfew checks as requested by juvenile court officers.
