Six individuals indicted for counterfeit money scheme across Northwest Ohio

Six individuals aged between 20 and 23 have been indicted on charges of producing and circulating counterfeit money, according to an announcement by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Williams County Prosecutor Katherine Zartman.

The investigation, led by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), revealed various financial schemes spanning four counties. The suspects are accused of theft, identity fraud, cashing forged checks, counterfeiting bank cards, and making purchases with fake $20 bills.

The indictment, filed in Williams County Common Pleas Court, alleges that these crimes occurred from June 2022 through January 2023 in Pioneer, Bryan, Montpelier (Williams County); Defiance (Defiance County); Archbold (Fulton County); and Wapakoneta (Auglaize County).

The charges against the suspects are as follows:

Cooper Rademacher, 21:

- Engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F1)

- Breaking and entering (F5)

- Theft (F5)

- Possession of criminal tools (F5)

- Engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F1)

- Identity fraud (F5)

- Forgery (F5)

- Possessing criminal tools (F5)

- Theft (F5)

Noah Frisby, 23:

- Engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F1)

- Counterfeiting (F4)

Dion Fleet, 23:

- Engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F1)

- Identity fraud (F5)

- Forgery (F5)

Brandon Randolph, 23:

- Engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F1)

- Identity fraud (F5)

Dale Champion, 20:

- Identity fraud(F5)

- Theft(F5)

The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies including police departments from Pioneer, Montpelier Wapakoneta Defiance Fairborn Grand Lake Drug Task Force prosecutor’s offices Williams Auglaize Defiance counties

Indictments are criminal allegations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proved guilty in a court of law.
