Jessica Erickson and Joel Maxwell will present a Cozen O'Connor webinar titled "New York Labor Law: Best Practices for Risk Transfer in Construction Accident Lawsuits." This webinar will discuss steps that can be taken immediately in the aftermath of a construction accident to evaluate potential exposure to owners and contractors. The presenters will discuss (1) accident investigation, (2) document and evidence retention, and (3) early evaluation of risk transfer opportunities to shift risk under the terms of a construction contract, including indemnification and additional insured coverages. The presenters also will focus on recent developments in New York Labor Law litigation, and best practices to defend claims involving litigation funding loans and physicians identified in recent RICO lawsuit filings.
