The Deputy Clerk of District Court will assist other court personnel with case management activities for criminal, civil, traffic, or other cases from initial filing to final disposition. Responsibilities include scheduling court operations; reviewing incoming documents for conformity to procedures; assigning cases to judicial officers; recording case proceedings; processing court orders; handling fees and financial activities; providing public assistance without offering legal advice; implementing court procedures during hearings; organizing daily cases for judges; searching records; managing the District Court jury program; ensuring quality control of court records; and performing other comparable duties.

Applicants must possess knowledge of general office procedures, grammar, legal terminology, court documents and operations, office etiquette, and relevant laws and policies. Required skills include effective interpersonal communication adaptable to diverse individuals, proficiency in district court operations and case processing routines, preparation of legal documents and reports, understanding statutes and legal terminology/procedures, written communication for reports/memos/letters preparation, attention to detail ensuring work accuracy, organizational skills for timely document processing using word processing software and specialized case management software. Additionally required are adaptability to frequent changes in a highly structured environment along with initiative and dependability.
