SAN DIEGO (Legal Newsline) - Nutrition claims on Enfagrow products for toddlers are at the center of a class action lawsuit.

Plaintiffs Chelsea Garland, Estelita Rey, and Zachary Williams filed a lawsuit July 5 against Mead Johnson & Company, LLC,Mead Johnson Nutrition Company and Reckitt Benckiser LLC.

The plaintiffs allege that the defendants engaged in deceptive and unlawful practices by misbranding their Enfagrow PREMIUM Toddler Nutritional Drink and Enfagrow NeuroPro Toddler Nutritional Drink products.

The lawsuit claims that these products were marketed with nutrient content claims prohibited by the FDA for children under two years of age. Plaintiffs argue that these claims misled consumers into believing the products provided health benefits when they were actually harmful both nutritionally and developmentally for young children.

The plaintiffs seek redress for violations of California’s Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, common law fraud, deceit or misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment.

Laura Goolsby of Capstone Law represents the plaintiffs.
