SAN FRANCISCO (Legal Newsline) - A federal class action lawsuit says Adobe is violating California laws regarding automatic renewals.

A class action lawsuit was filed July 1 in California federal court against Adobe Inc. by plaintiff Vikram Singh, alleging that the company engaged in an illegal "automatic renewal" scheme with its subscription plans for Adobe software products and services.

The complaint claims that Adobe failed to provide necessary disclosures and authorizations required under California's Automatic Renewal Law (ARL), resulting in unauthorized charges to consumers' payment methods.

The lawsuit seeks damages, restitution, declaratory relief, injunctive relief, and attorneys' fees for violations of California's Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, among other claims.

Joshua Wilner of Bursor & Fisher represents the plaintiff.
