Last night, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas issued an order preliminarily enjoining the Biden Administration’s Title IX rules in a lawsuit filed by America First Legal (AFL) and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against President Biden’s Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, and others. This preliminary injunction will stop the implementation of the Title IX rules across schools nationwide.

The court ruled that the Biden Administration must halt its Title IX rules, which would require girls in public schools to share restrooms, locker rooms, and private facilities with men. The decision was based on the likelihood that Texas would prevail on the merits of its case.

America First Legal expressed its intention to continue litigation alongside the State of Texas to prevent further enforcement of these rules. Gene Hamilton, Executive Director of America First Legal, stated: “The anti-science and anti-reality Biden Administration continues to tell the lie that boys can be girls and girls can be boys. Under Biden’s Title IX rules–in a manner completely contrary to what Congress put into plain law–young girls would be forced to use private spaces, like the bathroom, with men. We applaud the court’s decision to put a stop to this gender lunacy and protect women across the country from this dangerous ideology. We are proud to work in partnership with the great Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to fight for reality, biology, and truth.”
