Juvenile Court seeks part-time case aide in Grand Forks

The North Dakota Juvenile Court in Grand Forks has announced a part-time, temporary position for a Case Aide. The role offers an hourly wage of $17 and requires 10-20 hours per week with flexible evening and weekend hours.

The ideal candidate will maintain confidentiality, follow established rules, understand and relay instructions effectively, and interact well with the public. A high school diploma is required for this position.

Key responsibilities include working with youth in the juvenile justice system and the Juvenile Drug Court Program. Duties involve assisting with drug testing, curfew checks, electronic monitoring, mentoring participants, conducting intake meetings, observing alcohol sensor and urinalysis tests on a random basis, conducting curfew checks by phone or in person as requested by the juvenile court officer or drug court coordinator, assisting with electronic monitoring devices, supervising participants during group outings and special projects, completing required paperwork, reporting any neglect or abuse as a mandated reporter, and performing other comparable duties.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility. Essential skills include being courteous and cooperative while maintaining confidentiality. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, feeling, reaching and fingering. The job may require exerting up to 20 lbs occasionally or up to 10 lbs frequently.
