When:

July 10, 2024

3:00pm - 5:00pm

Gregory Boucher, Partner and Co-Chair of the Construction Practice at Saul Ewing, LLP will be among three other attorneys speaking at an upcoming MCLE | New England event.  The topic of the two-hour program is Motion Practice in Superior Court - types of pre-trial motions and what to expect when moving or opposing them.

Any civil case filed in a Massachusetts Superior Court almost certainly requires some form of motion practice, whether to seek injunctive relief, obtain discovery or a dispositive decision, or limit evidence at trial. The motions themselves, the strategic decisions regarding when and whether to file them, and the Superior Court Rules governing them can be some of the most complex and confusing areas of civil practice– and also the most interesting.

Join the expert litigators as they look at the different types of pre-trial motions and what to expect when moving or opposing them.

Agenda:

  • Know the Superior Court Rules
  • Motions for Injunctive Relief
  • Discovery Motions
  • Dispositive Motions
  • Motions in Limine
  • "Ask the Experts" Q&A Session
