Crowley man arrested for juvenile pornography following tip from NCMEC

Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrested a Crowley man on June 26, 2024, for pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.

Shannon Robert Primeaux, aged 42, residing on South Avenue D in Crowley, was taken into custody for violating 15 counts of LA RS 14:81.1 Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Felony) in Acadia Parish.

Agents received an initial tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The arrest resulted from a joint investigation conducted by Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Primeaux was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail with a reported bond amount set at $50,000.00. The investigation remains ongoing.
