TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - A Florida man accuses a teacher at school of racist comments toward his seventh-grade son, including use of the N-word.

Adrian Stanley, as the natural guardian and parent of N.M., a minor, filed a lawsuit May 29 in Leon County Circuit Court against Tallahassee Classical School Inc.

The complaint alleges that N.M., an African American student, faced racial discrimination from his Language Arts teacher, Dr. Steve Aggelis. Specific incidents include Aggelis calling N.M. "Darky" and using racial slurs in the classroom.

Despite reporting these issues to school officials, no disciplinary action was taken against Aggelis, leading to a decline in N.M.'s academic performance and eventual transfer to another school, the suit claims.
