Thompson Coburn partners Emily Wang Murphy and Shoko Naruo have been selected to participate in the NAPABA Partners Summit for 2024. The summit is designed to strengthen the relationships and impact of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) law firm partners.

NAPABA is the nation's largest Asian Pacific American membership organization representing the interest of 80,000 attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students. The summit, designed for partners from large law firms, will take place Aug. 29-30 in New York. It will include collaboration on issues facing AANHPI partners, as well as discussion of leadership strategies, business development training, and networking opportunities with attendees of NAPABA’s In-House Counsel Summit.

Emily, a partner in the firm’s D.C. office, is a corporate attorney experienced in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and other strategic transactions. Shoko, based in New York, is an intellectual property attorney who has registered and enforced trademarks in nearly 200 countries across major global brands. Emily and Shoko also co-chair Thompson Coburn’s Asian & South Asian Affinity Group.
