The North Dakota Court System has announced an opening for the position of Electronic Court Reporter/Transcriptionist in Minot, ND. The role offers an annual salary of $49,896 and is classified as a full-time, regular position under job number 2024-U4-MIN-15-ECRT2.

Comparable certifications from other state or federal courts may be substituted for the AAERT certification.

Additionally, the North Dakota Court System Transcript Practice & Quality Assurance Program (TQAP), along with the CET written multiple-choice test, may substitute for the practical portion of the AAERT CET certification if completed successfully within one year of job entry.

Major responsibilities include making verbatim records of district and juvenile court trials using audio recording equipment, writing court logs, noting appearances during proceedings, providing transcripts as required, assisting in calendar control and scheduling, preparing official transcripts and related documents, coordinating meetings, maintaining schedules for judges or referees, performing clerical tasks such as answering phones and maintaining office supplies.
