Fox Rothschild is pleased to welcome Giselle C. Alexander to the Atlanta office as counsel in the Taxation & Wealth Planning Department.
Alexander represents businesses, nonprofits and individuals in federal, state and local tax controversies.
She advises clients on IRS audits and litigation before the Arizona Tax Court, U.S. Tax Court and Federal District Court. Alexander’s experience includes private letter ruling requests, offshore foreign bank account reporting, innocent/injured spouse relief, captive insurance disputes and state/local tax apportionment issues, among others.
Alexander is also an Arizona CPA and a former president of the Arizona State Board of Accountancy. She is certified as a Tax Law Specialist by the State Bar of Arizona.
She has frequently worked with bankruptcy counsel to address IRS tax debt challenges that arise.
Alexander authored the “Litigation with the IRS in Bankruptcy Court” chapter of the Collier on Bankruptcy Taxation book, a resource that presents thorough, authoritative discussion of the many tax issues arising in, and in relation to a bankruptcy case.
Alexander earned her LL.M. from Northwestern University School of Law, her J.D. from Arizona State University College of Law and her B.S. from Arizona State University.
Prior to joining Fox, Alexander was an attorney at Wiggam Law.
