The North Dakota Ethics Commission is set to host a webinar titled "Dakota Dilemmas: Navigating the Complaint Process" on June 25, 2024. The event will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM CDT and aims to elucidate the procedures involved in handling complaints regarding violations of the Ethics Commission’s rules, Article XIV of the North Dakota Constitution, and related state laws.

Article XIV mandates that the Ethics Commission investigate any alleged breaches of its regulations. In response, the North Dakota Legislative Assembly established a formal complaint process in 2019 for such investigations. This upcoming presentation will detail each step of this process and clarify the roles played by the complainant, respondent, and the Ethics Commission throughout.

The webinar has been approved for one hour of North Dakota Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit in ethics. Interested participants can register through Microsoft Virtual Events powered by Teams.
