A team of attorneys – including Troutman Pepper’s Lisanne Crowley and Elizabeth McCormick and Troutman Pepper alumna Katherine (Kat) O’Konski – have been recognized by the Tahirih Justice Center for their pro bono services to the organization. The national nonprofit named the trio among its Journey to Justice 2024 Honorees for their work to help survivors and advance the organization’s mission to end gender-based violence.
The attorneys will receive the organization’s Pro Bono Team award during its annual awards reception on June 5, 2024. The Tahirih Justice Center is a national nonprofit that has served over 30,000 immigrant survivors fleeing gender-based violence since 1997. The organization has five locations, including D.C., and takes an interdisciplinary, trauma-informed approach in serving U.S. immigrant survivors.
Each year, Troutman Pepper attorneys dedicate thousands of pro bono hours in support of nonprofits, immigrants, military veterans, children, the wrongfully convicted, civil rights and social justice initiatives, and so many more. Learn more at troutman.com/pro-bono.
