Polsinelli’s Intellectual Property Department Welcomes David Hsu as Counsel

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has expanded its Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice and welcomed David D. Hsu, Ph.D., as counsel in the firm’s Denver office. He is an experienced patent attorney focusing his practice on patent preparation, patent prosecution and related counseling and representing clients in a wide range of industries, including bioinformatics, biotechnology, renewable energy, semiconductors, polymer materials, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Hsu’s experience in technical, economic and sustainability issues is a great asset to the Intellectual Property department.

His work experience and academic background in chemical engineering provide him with the requisite technical and practical knowledge to be a highly effective advocate for his clients.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He then graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with his Ph.D., before receiving his J.D. at the University of Colorado School of Law. David published several widely cited technical papers on biofuels and has frequently spoken on the topic. His doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley focused on high-pressure micro plasmas.
