36-year-old Arrested for sharing Torrents containing CSAM on BitTorrent Network

Following a several months long investigation that involved undercover agents, the New Mexico Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Division arrested Jonathan Anzures, a 36-year-old who was sharing Torrents containing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on the BitTorrent Network. Anzures has been charged with possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) of children under the age of 13 (NMSA 1978, Sections 30-6A-3(A), (C)).

About Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)

The case was brought as part of the New Mexico Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force’s mission to locate, track, and capture internet child sexual predators on internet child pornographers in New Mexico. Over 90 federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies are associated with the New Mexico ICAC Task Force, which is funded by an Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) grant administered by the New Mexico Department of Justice.
