The Yankton County Drug & DUI Court team has announced a graduation ceremony to honor participants who have successfully completed the program. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. CDT in Courtroom A of the Yankton County Courthouse and Safety Center at 410 Walnut St., Yankton.

Participants will be recognized in the presence of their friends and family. A former graduate of the James Valley Drug & DUI Court in Mitchell will serve as the featured speaker. The ceremony is open to the public, media, and cameras.

The Yankton County Drug & DUI Court offers an alcohol/drug intervention treatment program managed by the court as a cost-effective alternative to traditional criminal case processing. Eligible individuals must commit to completing all phases of this intensive program.

Designed for individuals with substance abuse disorders, this voluntary and intensely supervised program aims to help participants change their lifestyles and achieve freedom from alcohol and chemical abuse.
