Kindred Elementary School fourth graders, teachers, and chaperones recently visited the state capitol, meeting with Justices Daniel Crothers, Lisa McEvers, and Douglas Bahr, as well as Attorney General Drew Wrigley. The group of nearly 100 had the opportunity to ask a variety of questions related to the roles and responsibilities of these officials.
Justice McEvers explained the function of district courts within the legal system while responding to student inquiries. Justices Bahr, McEvers, and Crothers collectively addressed questions about case research, the tenure of a justice's office, and the qualifications required to become a judge or justice.
Attorney General Wrigley discussed the types of cases his office handles regularly and elaborated on the involved processes. He also posed for a photo with Kindred Elementary students.
