Anne B. de Fontenay Brings More Than Two Decades of Financial Management Experience to Her New Role as Saul Ewing Chief Financial Officer

Saul Ewing is welcoming a new chief financial officer to the firm, Anne B. de Fontenay, who will serve as a key strategic advisor to the managing partner, executive partner, the Executive Committee and other firm leaders regarding business planning, profitability, growth targets and revenue goals. She is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Anne brings more than 20 years of financial management experience in professional services to her role. Her experience includes leading the finance, accounting and risk management functions in law firms of varying sizes. She has a track record of realigning processes and adopting technology to drive new pricing strategies that enhance profitability.

As CFO, Anne will provide leadership and direction on operating and capital budgets, manage cash flow, and monitor tax reporting and compliance. She will also provide financial reporting and analysis, including reports related to practice group, attorney and matter performance and advice on strategies to improve profitability.

Ms. de Fontenay earned her M.A. in Accounting from The George Washington University. She also has a B.A.in Economics from McGill University.
